Basic engineering of a flue gas cleaning system

The aims of the project in which ALSTOM involved W.T.E were:

-the conversion of the Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB), originally designed to operate on coal firing, to a fuel mix (predominantly biomass: green waste and forestry woodchip) and

-the downgrade from 250 MWe to 170 MWe.

The biomass plant was installed in France.

Scope of work of W.T.E's engineering was to deliver process calculation and machinery dimensioning of the new Flue Gas Cleaning System.
