Basic engineering for urban district heating

Basic and Detailed Engineering to adaptĀ  the steam turbine and the thermal cycle of Padua MSW incineration plant to the district heating.

ACEGAS APS, owner, appointed W.T.E. to study and design the delivery of heat from the existing thermal cycle to the future district heating. The evaluation had to be done considering all existing furnaces load recorded throughout the year. Moreover, W.T.E. had to verify the turbine steam bleeding suitability to guarantee the required DH thermal load. On the base of turbine drawings and endoscopic analysis, W.T.E. designed the modifications to be done on the turbine bleed to supply the required thermal power within the turbine operational safety ranges.
